We appreciate your outstanding contributions in SharePoint Server technical communities during the past year.” I am very honored and proud to be part of the MVP community who are not only exceptional and passionate technology enthusiasts, but also a group of elite community leaders who spread and share their experiences and knowledge with their peers in the technical community. I would like to thank all the people who have supported it me, special thanks to Marwan Tarek, Ayman El-Hattab, Shady Abu Yousef and the only and only Kailash Kylani. The badge is up and its seems that 2011 has opened its arms right from the start. Wishing you all the best, Mohamed Yehia SharePoint MVP 5/16/2010 SharePoint Server 2010 and SharePoint Foundation 2010 are now available in Arabic, as a SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) and as a language pack as well. It was announced, last week on Microsoft SharePoint Team Blog. The server language pack applies to SharePoint Server 2010, Project Server 2010, Search Server 2010, and Office Web Apps 2010, sweet!!.

- Change the language drop down to Arabic and click download
- Install the native Arabic language on all web servers
- Install the Arabic language pack on all web servers
- Rerun the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard
Unlike MOSS 2007, SharePoint Foundation 2010 language packs are not required for SharePoint Server 2010. Currently, Excel Web App is available. Word, OneNote and PowerPoint are still to come. Does anybody know exact dates? This was a trick I learnt from member in EGYSUG, thanks Faisal. I love all attendees, regular members, speakers and of course the organizing committee.  I am proud to be part of this group and to be around such marvelous people. With every event in EGYSUG, I am privileged to know new interesting people. Its an outstanding, splendid and overwhelming experience. I get the chance to talk to them, assist them, share my expertise with them and most important learn from everybody. I think this what it’s all about, about sharing and learning from others. All this was yesterday, in our launch SP2010 Launch party. After the introduction by Kailash, Ayman El Hattab presented the new cool Visual Studio tools for SharePoint, Shady Korshed dug into Web Parts development in SP 2010, Hesham Mortada gave us a tour around the all new PowerPivot. After we finally got streaming for the keynote I presented Office Web Apps and Marwan Tarek ended it up with the cool PowerShell cmdlets for SharePoint. With the follow up emails and reminders, Rajendera and the rest of SPSIndia team did a great job. I was in Senegal, connecting to my virtual machine hosted in Western Europe broadcasting to India. It was a slow connection but everything went just fine. With all the new fun in SharePoint 2010, today I presented “Word on the Server” - The Word Web App and Word Automation Services.
